There are a number of great tasting dishes that you can create with your slow cooker, and the best part is they can be ready in just a few simply steps. Here are 3 wonderful meals that your family will enjoy.
3. Chicken with wild rice.
This one is a timeless classic, and can be easily prepared for your family any day of the week. The ingredients are as follows: one whole chicken (3 to 4 pounds), two cans of cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of water, 1 can of chopped mushrooms, 2 cups of wild rice.
Preparing this recipe is even easier than the recipe itself. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, water, mushrooms, and wild rice in the slow cooker until well blended. Once you’ve completed this step, then simply unpack and prepare the chicken, and then place it in the slow cooker on top of the rice mixture.
If you are preparing it in the morning, cook in on a low temperature setting while you are away at work, or you can also cook it on a high temperature for 3 and a half to 4 hours. When complete, season to taste and enjoy.
2. Kraut with potatoes and ring bologna.
If you enjoy the great taste of kraut with ring bologna, then you’re definitely going to love this tasty little dish. It is perhaps one of the more simply meals to prepare in your crock pot, and also one of the more popular dishes that can enjoyed by everyone in the family.
Preparing this meal is very easy. Simply add 1 large jar of kraut, 10 to 12 chopped baby red potatoes, and 1 ring bologna into the slow cooker and let it cook on a low temperature for 7 to 8 hours. If you need it prepared sooner, cook on the high temperature setting for 3 to 4 hours.
