Time Efficiency in the Kitchen?
you have your 1)recipe, with a list of 2)ingredients, 3)instructions, and sometimes 4)equipment (usually you have to “guess”).
My question is: what is the best way to get a recipe done most efficiently (least amount of time, energy, etc) when you look at a general recipe…. what is the best way to go about it, one you have seen for the first time but need to make and “fast”? Do you look at the instructions first and find what tools you need and what food is prepared in what (so you you don’t dig out 3 mixing bowls to find they all go into one)? WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS?
What if you’re making something for a high volume of people, such as a holiday, potluck, or working in a restaurant??
THanks
The first thing you want to do is gather all of your ingredients together before you start cooking. Get all of your measuring cups and spoons out. Have everything put in order listed on recipe. Then follow recipe as instructed/ If you need to refer back to the recipe alot, it might take a little longer to make but this is the easiest way to make a recipe.
I personally like to follow along but make up my own style as I go along. This technique takes practice. I just love to cook all of the time. I get alot of compliments on my cooking
