Making a Julia Child pork recipe. Help?


Ok, I am making a casserole sauteed pork with a mustard sauce from her Julia Child’s cookbook “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” If anyone is familiar with this recipe, I would LOVE some suggestions, encouragements and stories. Anything you can offer. I am making it for my dad’s birthday so I don’t wanna mess up!! i a so afraid of screwing up the recipe….. help?

I cannot stand the taste of clove, mace, allspice, cinnamon, or nutmeg in savory dishes…you may want to consider leaving them out of the spice blend…

but the rest sounds good…

i’ve never made it…but i make something similar…i’ll offer you my lazy man version… :P

pork butt steaks…season with salt and pepper, slather on some dijon mustard, and top with breadcrumbs and some herbs if you want…i usually use some dry thyme and some parsley..and drizzle the top with olive oil and bake.

you aren’t going to screw up…. i read the recipe and it sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is lol.
