Is there a kitchen tool that will cut up hotdogs easily and quickly?
I’m looking for something that will quarter a hotdog, I have a home day care and I need a tool that will minimize the time I spend cutting up hotdogs for 5 toddlers! Anyone know if such a thing exists?
And please don’t say a knife. I may have to hurt you, lol!
Good ideas so far, thanks. And to those who claim I’m lazy, why don’t you come over to my house tomorrow and watch these 5 children under the age of 3, by yourself, no TV, prepare 2 snacks and a lunch, changes diapers, put everyone down for a nap, make sure they fall asleep by the way, wipe noses, tie shoe laces, read books, sing songs, go for a walk and then call me lazy you self righteous, judgemental, ignorant dumb@*#!
Have you tried a pastry blender? That would cut the hot dogs up smaller than quarters, but that could be another way of preparation, you know? I used to have a home daycare myself, so I am aware of the headaches involved and the need for quick tips!
Some pastry blenders have sharp edges (what you would need) and some aren’t sharp at all. Make sure you find the right one. Here’s a link for a picture of a pastry blender. You can pick one up at Wal*Mart for $3 or $4.

And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That’s not to say you can’t add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter … |
